Can I Trust Again?

By Kim Wells
I know how you feel, I too have been there. Can you be brave enough to trust once more?

Prayer Warrior Ministries - Maybe you have been scorned, ridiculed, cast out, or abandoned, and you feel as though there is no one you can trust again.  Maybe you have been hurt by a loved one, or condemned by people that you put your faith in.

If that is the case, you may think there is no one you can go to that understands you, or can sympathize with the way you hurt.

There is one who does know exactly how you feel, who has walked the same path that you are on. He was rejected by the ones in authority over Him, He was cast away from those whom He loved. He was put to death simply for wanting to give His love to us.

This man is Jesus, the one who loved the world so much that He willingly went to the cross and died a horrible death, so that you and I could be reconciled to God.

He too knows the hurt of betrayal, of lies spoken about Him, of being pushed away.

He understands.

When we have been hurt, we tend to think that there is no one we can trust and that everyone we encounter is going to hurt us and betray our trust. We shut ourselves off from everyone, not allowing anyone close to us. We become afraid that we will be hurt again.

My dear brothers and sisters, Jesus will never hurt you, will never abandon you.  He will never scorn you, He will never leave your side.
His word tells us that He will stick closer than a brother, that He will never leave, nor abandon us, that He is with us, even unto the end of the earth.

I know that it is hard to trust again, I have been in your shoes.
Jesus is asking you for this chance, to show you love and acceptance that you may have never known, to take you in His arms, and hold you close. He loves you, and wants to take all your cares onto Him.

Will you let Him?
